Getting to Nias: flights, ferries and the road north
Pasir Putih is a family-run homestay on a white-sand beach on the north coast of Nias, an island in the Indian Ocean off the west coast of Sumatra. We have five rooms in wooden bungalows around a palm garden, a kitchen that cooks Nias and Indonesian food, and a small team that loves showing guests the island.
Surfers come for the reefs around Afulu and for day trips to the legendary Point at Sorake. Everybody else comes for the empty beaches, the waterfalls, the villages and the slow island rhythm. Have a look at our rooms, the local spots and our trip planning guide, and send us a message if you have any question.
Your booking goes straight to us: the best price, no middleman and a host who answers your messages.
See the full price, the deposit and the cancellation terms for your dates before you pay. Everything is saved with your booking.
Our guides grew up on these reefs. We'll tell you where and when to surf, and arrange boards, lessons and transfers.
Reviews
“Proper surf trip vibe. The surf photography session was worth every rupiah. The road is long, but the waves make up for it.”
